David R. Stacy, O.D.

Dr. Stacy graduated from the University of Arizona and served in the Army for four and a half years. He moved to Oregon and went to Optometry School at Pacific University and graduated in 1978.

Dr. Stacy is a Native Arizonan who grew up surrounded by beautiful scenery in Clifton, Arizona, close to the New Mexico border. He speaks Spanish.

He enjoys his family and likes hiking and bird watching. He always enjoys meeting people of all ages and works hard to provide the best possible eye care. He has actively maintained and upgraded his expertise and has a Therapeutic Drug Addendum to his Arizona License which was granted by the Arizona State Board of Optometry.

Dr Stacy is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He is currently the President of VOSH AZ (Volunteer Optometrists Serving Humanity)and enjoys donating his free time to help people.

Jared A. Shaver, O.D.

Dr. Shaver provides comprehensive optometric care with emphasis in primary care, treatment and management of ocular disease, pre and post-surgical care and low vision rehabilitation. He grew up in Brea, CA and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He earned his Doctor of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry where he received awards for professional potential and overall academic and clinical performance. He completed externships at the Veterans Affairs hospital in downtown, Los Angeles, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles and Southwestern Eye Centers in Mesa and Scottsdale, AZ.

Dr. Shaver is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry and is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Shaver and his wife Rebecca have four children: Jonah, Eli, Adam and Seth and reside in Gilbert, AZ. He spends his free time with them and also enjoys music, reading and photography. Dr. Shaver is fluent in French and speaks Spanish.

Sylvia Ryan, O.D.

Dr. Ryan graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Business from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois. She went on to complete her pre-med and Bachelor of Science coursework at the University of Arizona and Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, after which, she was accepted into the Optometric program at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Ryan completed her externships at the Navy base on Whidbey Island, WA and the Portland Clinic in Portland, OR and was awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in 1992. That same year, Dr. Ryan was licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry, and she has been practicing in Chandler/Mesa Arizona ever since.

Dr. Ryan has continued her education and has maintained and expanded her licensure to include treatment with pharmaceutical agents, and as recently as 2009, completed a 2 year special study in diagnosis and management of Glaucoma. Dr. Ryan also co-manages surgical patients and provides pre and post op care to patients having LASIK and cataract surgeries.

After all these years in practice, Dr. Ryan still has a genuine passion for her work and for the service she provides her patients. Given the climate of Arizona, she has a special interest in the treatment of dry eye and has extensive experience in fitting all types of contact lenses.

Dr. Ryan and her husband live in Chandler and share their home with a spirited and beloved dog. She loves to write, sing and record music, read, grow roses in her garden, as well as ride motorcycles with her husband through the beautiful Arizona countryside.
